For many of us, it’s hard to imagine a life on
the streets plagued with drug addiction, crimes of all types, and no family to
guide the way and assist when needed. But for some people, that is the
only life they’ve ever known. How can we expect a person who has lived an
impoverished life of crime to be released from incarceration and have a
fighting chance to survive and thrive as a productive citizen? The
reality is that it is not possible without help and guidance.
kNewMe is committed to providing resources to help Returning Citizens in our
community reduce recidivism and reconnect with family. We are so grateful
for your contributions, and looking forward to your continued support this
year. Here is a review of some of last year’s achievements and the goals
we have planned for this year.
Gratefully
looking back on a year of fruitful beginnings and modest achievements

Enthusiastically looking ahead to 2019
KNewMe has big plans to realize lofty goals for its second year as

facilities to provide comprehensive programs, resources, assistance to
returning citizens

mentorship program

behavior modification workshops in transitional facilities

interviews, school, and other transitional activities/events

opportunities and professional development through companies, school,s and
workplace partnerships

purchased to provide additional housing for returning citizens
· Bring on 3 additional board members
to add to our talent pool and help direct our organization to realize our
mission timely
Our mission is important to our nation, our state, and our local
community. Recidivism plagues our neighborhoods, as the majority of
returning citizens are not provided the resources required to land on their
feet and have a fair shot at living a productive, crime-free, normal life.
Reintegrating returning citizens and assisting them with the resources needed
to become productive members of society helps us all. We pray that
you will contribute to this necessary mission to reduce recidivism, help
Returning Citizens reconnect with their family and become law-abiding,
productive, hopeful members of society.
